Keturah Evangeline (Burnett) Moore, 88, of Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Sixteen Acres Healthcare in Springfield.
Born in Christ Church, Barbados, she was a daughter of the late John London Toppin and the late Viola Cleopatrick (Washington) Burnett. Keturah was the widow of John Moore. A fifty-year resident of Springfield, she worked as a kitchen line server at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Keturah was a hard-working member of Harvest Fellowship Church, where she served on the Mother’s Board, Harvest Hands Outreach Team, Sextant Ministry, Sunday School, Brown Bag Committee, and was also a Missionary and Bible Study participant. In addition, she was an Urban League Foster Grandparent.
Pre-deceased by a god-daughter, Janette Williams Strickland, Keturah is survived by a son, Christopher Egbert Barnett, of Bridgetown, Barbados; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Belbeck Burnett of Burlington, Ontario, Canada; a grandson, Christian Burnett of Burlington; her spiritual mother, Pastor Betty Gill; her faithful caregivers, Tuwanda Caldwell, Rickey Kell, Lisa Hall, Jonathan Gill, John Demars, Lexxi Demars, and Arlene McKenzie; her Harvest Church Family, Bishop and Mrs. Gill; and special friends, Cynthia Blackwood, Sandy Ruiz, Marilyn Delgado, Stuart Hibbert, and the DJ’s at WTCC Radio.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Harvest Fellowship Church, 761 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
